'The Resistance' a disappointment

The other saving grace is found at the end of the album: "The Exogenesis Symphony." This ambitious project was the most highly anticipated and most hyped part of the album. While it does not quite live up to the high expectations this three piece, thirteen plus minute close to the album is still quite good. It sounds great and is an excellent and grand way to finish the album.
After years of waiting and anticipation "The Resistance" was sure to be closely examined upon its release. Muse have put together an album that reaches a large audience of both new and loyal listeners. Unfortunately, for the most part, "The Resistance" was a let down. Older fans will want to hear a sound similar to "Origin of Symmetry" or "Absolution", while newer listeners do not get to hear them at their best.
There are more negative than positives on "Revelations," but those positives, "United States of Eurasia/Collateral Damage" and "The Exogenesis Symphony" are strong enough to save the rest of the album.
