La Patisserie opened on Oct. 5 at the old Ancora coffee location, across from Olivia’s Gifts. The shop hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Stop by and help support the pastry arts students. On Sunday, Oct. 11 Aids Walk Wisconsin will be held in Milwaukee at the Summer Fest grounds. To sponsor a participant or to participate, please visit the Student Life office on the Truax campus in room 140. On Sunday, Oct. 11 is the March on Washington, which is about receiving equal treatment. To sponsor a participant please call 608-255-8582. United Common Ground is offering a program called "Bridging the Gap with Education", which will offer math tutoring on Tuesdays at the Downtown campus in the Student Life office, room 125. Tutoring is offered without an appointment from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and with an appointment after 4 p.m. To make an appointment please call 414-364-1437. Every Thursday the Student Senate holds their weekly General Assembly meetings at 5 p.m. in boardroom 122, the Administration Building. All students are welcomed to attend. 8-Ball Billiards PAC is hosting a 8-Ball Billiards Tournament on Oct. 8 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the WolfPack Den. For more information contact Lori Erickson at 608-246-6797. Hypnotist Jim Wand On Oct. 14, PAC is bringing hypnotist Jim Wand to the Truax campus. This free show will be held in the cafeteria at 11:30 a.m.
