Only winning a Super Bowl could save Favre's legacy after lastest unretirement

After the Jets season ended last year, just missing out on the playoffs, there were some Jet players that were critical of Favre. In particular, running back Thomas Jones criticized Favre for not being a good teammate by dividing himself from the rest of the team. The Jets got off to a hot start going 8-3. But then they lost four of their next five games and you could tell in addition to struggling, Favre looked like a 39-year-old quarterback.
Now you would think Favre would try to avoid a divided locker room with the Vikings. However, recently there were reports that the locker room was becoming divided. The reason for the division is that some Viking players would prefer to see Tarvaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels start instead of Favre. The only two players that I am aware of backing up Favre are Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen.
If Favre plays well, there will not be any second-guessing and the locker room will not be divided. But if Favre does struggle, players will start to divide themselves; and in football, if you have a divided locker room, it can hurt team morale. The Vikings cannot have a team with bad morale because before they signed Favre, they were considered a good team that could make the playoffs. But when Favre signed, they started to get mentioned as a possible Super Bowl contender.
The other reason I listed was Packer fans. As we all know the Brett Favre divorce from the Packers organization was ugly. Even though Favre has not come out and said this, it seems like Favre wants revenge on the Packers organization for the way they treated him. The only way he knew he could get revenge on the Packers if he was to play for the Vikings. Facing the Packers twice a year and beating them twice would be sweet revenge for Favre. Like I said, I do not know if this is true and it may not be. No one knows for sure. But if it is true, Favre is forgetting one thing in his act of revenge; the Packer fans.
Packer fans loved Favre. They had his back during the bitter divorce with the Packers. But with him now being a Viking, he could lose a huge number of fans in Wisconsin. I personally do not think hurting the fans in order to get revenge on the Packers organization are his intentions.
I still don't know why Favre wants to play another season considering how last season ended and how he could lose fans because he now plays for the Vikings.
