Blood Drive
The Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, May 4 in the Truax Student Lounge. It's recommended you pre-register at Student Life (room 140), however walk-ins are welcome. The blood drive is being sponsored by the Fitness, Health and Recreation Center. Contact Anna Hoffmann for further information at 246-6027.
MATC Brewers Trip
May 1, the MATC Recreational Association will be hosting a Brewers trip for students. Participants will meet at Truax room 120A prior to departure at 2pm, it is suggested that participants show up early for a head count. The trip will include coach travel, food and drinks for the 7:05pm Brewers vs. Arizona game at Miller Park, Milwaukee. Contact Joshua Lemberger. jlemberger@stu.matcmadison.edu, for more information.
Retirement Reception
MATC will be hosting a retirement reception to celebrate the careers of recent MATC retirees. The event will be held on Thursday, May 7 in the Student Lounge, Truax. The event is open to all who wish to attend and will be held from 1pm to 3pm. Contact Shana Kuehn at 608-259-2907, with questions about the event.
Doug Redsten Golf Outing
MATC Foundation is preparing for the 2009 Doug Redsten Golf Classic to honor the memory of Redsten, celebrate MATC Alumni and raise funds for student success. The event is an 18 hole best ball scramble being held at Bridges Golf Course on April 18, registration starts at 10 a.m. and the shotgun start gets underway 11:30 a.m. Contact the MATC foundation, 608-246-6441, with questions.
Dislocated Workers Workshop
Helping to make dislocated workers successful in new careers and programs. Bring your questions and concerns to be discussed with the counselor. Current and prospective students are welcome to attend this workshop. Call 608-246-6076 or 608-243-4271 to reserve a seat.
Career Planning Workshop
Are you uncertain about which career or major to pursue or how to choose a 2 - or 4-year school? Attend the Career Planning Workshop for current or prospective MATC students. One is coming soon, May 4, in room 259 at the MATC Truax campus from 4:30-6pm. Contact Advising and Career Resources at 608-246-6076, for more information.
