Laptop theft
on campus
There have been a significant number of laptops being stolen from MATC Truax. Campus Security asks that all students and staff keep all laptops and moveable valuables locked up when leaving a work area. If you see something suspicious call security immediately at (608) 243-4357 or go directly to their office, room 117, Truax.
Wisconsin Renewable Energy Summit
MATC Sustainability Alliance (MESA) is sponsoring free transportation to students and staff interested in attending the Wisconsin Renewable Energy Summit, March 25-28. Free Financial Seminars
UW Credit Union is offering three free financial seminars for faculty, staff and students in the Student Lounge Truax. Financial Aid Awareness Week: Score High: Using Credit Wisely will be held March 31 from 5-6p.m. Managing Your Finances During Tough Economic Times will be April 1, 12-1:30 p.m. and Planning for your Financial Future will be held April 2, 11:30a.m.-1p.m.
A library at your computer with e-books
Those with an MATC account will soon have free 24/7 access to thousands of e-books being loaded onto MATC's libraries' catalog.
Blackboard

As the use of Blackboard increases so must the maintenance. Students may not be able to access Blackboard from 5:45-6:15 a.m., Monday-Thursday, and 6-7 a.m., Friday, due to routine maintenance activities.
Downtown Bookstore holding sale
To show appreciation for students the Downtown MATC Madison campus is having a customer appreciation sale from now till March 13. Everything is 15 percent off except books, stamps, software and bus passes.
